Organic Vectors
These vectors may be composed of lipids, peptides, or polymers. One of their great advantage is the avoidance of accumulation of degraded products inside the cells.
Inorganic Vectors
They have low cytoxicity, no immunogenicity, and a complex that protects the genetic material from enzymatic degradation and improves transfection efficiency. Nanoparticles are used in this type of application.
